A
New Experience for the New Millenium
In
the summer of 1967, the first record released on TRACK Records
was 'Purple Haze' by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The second,
also in the summer of that year was 'Pictures of Lily' by
The Who: what followed over the next 11 years is Rock Music
Legend.
For
over a decade Track Records was responsible for many seminal
recordings including 'Desdemona' by John's Children (Marc
Bolan), Crazy World of Arthur Brown's 'Fire', Thunderclap
Newman's 'Something in the Air', Golden Earring's 'Radar Love',
through to the Heartbreakers 'Chinese Rocks', to name just
a few.
Having
run the gambit of Psychedelia to Punk, Track did the decent
thing and self destructed in 1978.
Resurrected
in 1999, in the main as a back catalogue label to keep alive
the flame of its artist's halcyon days, adding the likes of
Big Country, Noel Redding, former Strangler Hugh Cornwell
& UFO's Phil Mogg to its roster, Track is doing nicely
………however the life blood of the business has
always been new bands especially ones that can play live.
Of which there has been a dearth of for far too long.
So,
as a new dawn rose on 2003, Track Records gave birth to Track2records.
Track
2 will, in this James Marshall Hendrix 60th birthday anniversary
year, sign some of the best new talent that represents the
magic and ethos of the Hendrix period. They have already signed
four Pogomotion acts to the Track 2 roster, with more to follow.
POGOMOTION
will be the exclusive Booking Agent for T2 acts, and some
T2 acts we admit have had deals with both Major and Indie
labels before, however in the main they are/will be brand
new talent, talent that those at T2 believe in, as much as
they believe in themselves. A very 1967 ideology, that sits
very well upon the dawn of 2003.
So please allow us to introduce TRACK 2 RECORDS from a label
with fame and taste.
That
may have been around for a long, long time.
But
intends to be back and very much in your Face.
