Four women from various corners of England are the foundation of this rapidly emerging roots acoustic band.

2004 saw a successful summer of festivals for the girls including Glastonbury, Trowbridge and Off The Tracks, followed by a tour ending in November. The Witches have since been back in the studio recording their second album "Hands & Bridges", which will be launched in the spring of 2005. The girls will be promoting their new album throughout the spring and summer months.

The Witches (Patsy Matheson, Jools Parker, Rachel Goodwin and Becky Mills) debut album 'Like Everybody' is an exciting collection of accessible guitar-laced vocal harmonies with leads sung by the individual songwriters.

The debut album Like Everybody is just a taste of what’s to come from these hugely talented singer-songwriters. The album features full electric band arrangements (drums, bass, guitar, etc in addition to the acoustic guitars), while the live performances features the 4 girls with just their acoustic guitars and vocals – regardless of whether heard on CD or live, the songs are simply stunning.

With the release of ’Hands and Bridges’ - their eagerly awaited follow-up to their acclaimed debut, ‘Like Everybody’ - in May 2005, the new album further reinforces the girls talents. Not only is the album once more released via their own label, this time there are no other musicians featured – with every note written, sung, and played by the four girls on this self-written and self-produced release, which will be backed by a National Promotional Campaign and UK-wide touring, with plans for the Witches to spread their wings to Europe and America.
